8 Steps was founded with the Kotter 8-step change management methodology in mind.

The 8-Step Process for Leading Change was cultivated from over four decades of Dr. Kotter’s observations of countless leaders and organizations as they were trying to transform or execute their strategies. He identified and extracted the success factors and combined them into a methodology, the award-winning 8-Step Process for Leading Change.

We cannot lay claim to this model. We can lay claim to how it is applied, in synergy
with other methodologies along the way to achieve results.

Urgency

Creating a sense of Urgency is the first of the 8 Steps of Change. Urgent and important tasks need to be done immediately without excuse.

Simplicity

Many things today are just too
over-complicated. Keep things simple and communicate effectively to avoid disengagement.

Loyalty and Respect

Be loyal to those who stand by you and be respectful to everyone – even during debate, Treat as you wish to be treated.

Empathy

People will have pain points. Understand these pain points - they will be areas of focus to fix and show empathy with every case.

Positivity

A positive mindset and approach is paramount in todays challenging world. Be aware that over-confidence can prove disastrous.

Listen and Think

The current situation must always be understood and digested before taking action or giving advice. Listen more,
talk less.

It’s the successful sequencing and application of the concepts that counts. This is difficult to fathom alone and is rarely done successfully without the engagement of a reputable service provider.
